Cottesmore Quarries – consists of three small diorama models to show the progression in ironstone mining at Cottesmore Mines 1882 -1966
a) Model of hand-working using a narrow gauge railway and the plank and barrow method of ironstone mining.
b) Model showing introduction of quarry machinery and narrow gauge locomotives to replace hand working in 1920 /1930
c) Model showing ore dumptruck haulage to ore tipping dock and loading of standard gauge wagons from 1958
