We are pleased to confirm that the Museum will be open to visitors from 10am on Thursday 26th August. However, because the museum is hosting an event for invited guests in the early afternoon, we are unable to offer hot food in the café on this occasion. During the morning Museum volunteers will be preparing for an event to mark the anniversary of the liberation of Far Eastern Prisoners of War following the Japanese surrender in August 1945. The commemorative event will commence at 1.30pm and tables will be reserved for guests near the café from about 2.30pm. Visitors are welcome to stay on site if they wish to observe the commemorative event.
